Anna Gottret’s practice focuses on national and international corporate and commercial law, and she actively advises her clients on legal matters related to competition, data protection and labour law legal issues. In addition, Anna is particularly recognized for her cross-border advisory and international transactional work.
Anna has been engaged in the practice of law for over a decade, and she has an extensive experience working with major international law firms in Switzerland (Berne), EU (Brussels) and the US (New York), along with serving as in-house counsel for a number of well-recognized multinational and mid-sized companies and several federal regulatory institutions.
As a legal advisor, Anna has distinguished herself through her professionalism, pragmatic and strategic advocacy, and personal commitment to her clients’ objectives. Additionally, she regularly publishes in Swiss and foreign specialized journals and gives lectures in her various fields of practice.
Through her pro bono work as a board member of the Association Chindernetz Kanton Bern (priorly Pro Juventute Kanton Bern 2009-2019), Anna supports programs established to ensure equal opportunities for children, young people and families in the Canton of Berne, and her consulting services extend well beyond legal support.
After having studied at the University of Berne, Françoise Rabelais in Tours (FR) and University of Lodz (PL), she successfully completed her post-graduated legal studies at the College of Europe (2007). Subsequently, she obtained her PhD Degree at the University of Berne in 2010, with the designation of “summa cum laude” and having been honored as the 2010/2011 recipient of the Professor Dr. Walter Hug-Award.
